San Francisco Botanical Garden

i think grabbing a map at the entrance helps a lot—some paths are a bit tricky to navigate, and you might miss some hidden gems without it

Don't skip the African section! It's unique and stunning. I almost did, but I'm so glad I didn't because it ended up being my favorite part!
Botanical Building

check the opening hours before you go; they can change seasonally. i went on a holiday and got there super early, only to find out they opened later. total bummer!
Flower Conservatory

Don’t forget your camera but also take a moment to just soak it all in! Sometimes I got so caught up in snapping photos that I missed enjoying the beauty around me.

i found that the best time to visit is around 10 am on weekdays. the crowds are way smaller, and you can really enjoy the flowers in peace.
The University of California Botanical Garden

If you're on a budget, visit on the first Wednesday of the month—it's free! Saved me some bucks and the crowd was super manageable.

I recommend downloading the garden map from their website before you go. Helps you navigate and find the areas you want to see without getting lost for ages!

Be sure to check out the tropical section—it’s a hidden gem! I almost skipped it, but it ended up being my favorite part of the whole garden.
Santa Barbara Botanic Garden

I recommend getting there right when they open at 9 AM. The morning light is perfect for photos and you beat the crowds. I wish I had known that sooner!

My advice is to pack a picnic. The garden has some lovely spots to relax and you can save some cash instead of buying food on site.
