Downtown Aquarium

Bring a water bottle! The inside can get a bit stuffy, and it's nice to stay hydrated while wandering around. Plus, it saves you a few bucks on drinks

Grab a combo ticket for the aquarium and the restaurant. It’s a bit cheaper than buying them separately, and you won't have to rush between the two!

I think you should definitely save time for the underwater tunnel. It's a unique view, but it can get busy. Try to hit it early in your visit to enjoy it more!

I suggest visiting on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds. It was way more enjoyable without the hustle and bustle. Trust me, you'll appreciate the quieter atmosphere!
Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey

Try the tasting flight at the end of the tour. It’s a great way to sample a variety of their whiskeys, and it's super affordable compared to ordering individual drinks.

Ask the guides about the distillation process. They love sharing stories and insights, and I learned so much that made the experience even more rewarding.

Make sure to book your tour in advance. They can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. I almost missed out because I didn't plan ahead!
Buckhorn Exchange Restaurant

My advice is to make reservations if you can, especially on weekends. We had to wait a long time to get a table, and I wish I had planned ahead to avoid standing around.

Oh, and don’t skip the dessert! The chocolate cake was a highlight for me. I think sharing is the way to go again since it’s pretty rich, unless you have a sweet tooth – then go for it!

If you're going for the unique game meats, I suggest sharing a couple of platters with friends. That way you get to taste more without blowing your budget on a huge meal. Trust me, the portions are generous!

Definitely try to arrive around 5 PM if you can. I found it much less crowded that early, and the staff seemed more relaxed and attentive. Plus, you can enjoy a more peaceful dinner!
Balistreri Vineyards

Make sure to arrive around 1 PM for the best chance at a less crowded experience. The place fills up later in the day, and you want to enjoy it without feeling rushed.

Check out their calendar for live music events on weekends. We stumbled upon a fantastic band that really enhanced the vibe. It was a great surprise!

I recommend trying their tasting flights; they’re a good deal! You can sample different wines without splurging on a full bottle straight away

My advice is to bring a picnic. They allow outside food, and enjoying their wine with some snacks in the garden area was a highlight of my visit.
Candlelight Tavern
Keep an eye on the bar tab. They sometimes run fun promotions that aren’t advertised. I found out about a buy-one-get-one drink deal while chatting with the bartender, which was a nice bonus!

I recommend checking out their happy hour specials. I saved a good amount on drinks from 4 to 6 PM. The atmosphere is lively and it’s a great time to relax before the weekend crowd rolls in.
Adams Mystery Playhouse

If you're hungry, grab snacks beforehand or order a light meal at the café nearby – their menu is decent, but it can get crowded during peak hours

Check their website for special events or discounts before you go – I found a promo that saved us a few bucks on group tickets which was awesome.
Arrive about 15 minutes early to soak in the atmosphere; it buzzes with excitement and you might get some cool insider tips from the staff before the show starts.
The Monkey Bar

My advice is to check out their happy hour specials. I scored some great deals on drinks from 4-6 PM. It really saved me some cash.

I think the food menu could use some more variety, so maybe grab a bite before you go. Their nachos were decent but nothing to write home about. Just saying!
Allred's Restaurant

I think the dessert menu is a must-try, especially the chocolate lava cake! But order it with your main course. We forgot, and it took ages to arrive!

The drinks are pricey, so I suggest sticking to the house specials if you want to save some cash. I got a cocktail that was delicious but way too expensive for what it was.
The Denver Central Market

I think you should try the local vendors first. I found the hidden gems are the lesser-known stalls that offer amazing, unique dishes. Don't just stick to what's popular!
