Bayside Marketplace

Don't forget to explore beyond the obvious shops. I stumbled upon some really cool street performers and art installations that made my visit way more memorable.

I think you should try to go on a weekday instead of the weekend. It was way less crowded when I visited on a Thursday morning, making it easier to explore the shops and grab some food.

I suggest taking a break at one of the waterfront seating areas. Just chilling out and people-watching for a bit really elevated my experience.

I recommend bringing a light jacket if you're planning to sit outside. The breeze off the water can get chilly, especially around sunset.
Basilica of National Shrine of Mary

don’t skip the gift shop! they have some cute religious items and unique souvenirs that i didn’t expect. i thought it’d be pricey, but i found some great deals!

If you can, visit on a weekday instead of weekends. It was way less crowded when I went on a Tuesday, and I had more time to enjoy the peace and quiet.

I suggest wearing comfy shoes because you'll want to walk around and really take in all the stunning details without getting tired. I learned this the hard way!
Calle Ocho Walk of Fame

Keep an eye out for the street performances, they really add to the festive vibe! I didn't know about them and missed out. Next time, I'll plan to stay longer to enjoy the shows.

Check out the tiles with the artists' names – it's super cool to see who has made an impact in Latin music. I had a great time snapping pics for my friends. Don't rush it, take your time here.

I suggest grabbing a snack at one of the local cafes nearby, like La Carreta. The food is delicious, and it's a great way to take a break from walking around
Cape Florida Lighthouse

My advice is to bring a few snacks and water. The little concession stand was packed and the prices were pretty high. A simple picnic on the beach is a great way to save some bucks!

I think visiting during a weekday is the way to go. I went on a Saturday and it was packed! More peaple meant longer waits and less space to roam around. Trust me, you'll enjoy it way more.
Haulover Sandbar

Pack some beach chairs or a blanket; the sand can get really hot in the afternoon. Also, having a comfortable spot makes all the difference when lounging!

If you can, rent a kayak or paddleboard to explore the area more authentically. It's a great way to see marine life and it's super chill!
Wat Mongkolratanaram

If you're looking to take pictures, go around 11 AM when the sunlight hits the pagoda nicely. Just be careful of the angle, some spots can be tricky!

I recommend trying the Thai food after your visit. It's super affordable and delicious, but make sure to bring cash since they don’t take cards

I suggest visiting on a Sunday morning around 10 AM. The atmosphere is beautiful with the chanting, and you can avoid the crowds who come for lunch later.
St Bernard De Clairvaux

Make sure to bring cash! I thought I could pay with card, but the little gift shop only takes cash. Would have saved me some hassle if I had known.

I'd recommend exploring the grounds thoroughly. There are hidden spots around the abbey that aren't well marked but are totally worth it for some great pics and peace.
Chocolate Kingdom - Factory Adventure

Definitely get the chocolate tasting. It's a fun way to kick off the tour and I loved trying all the different flavors. Don’t skip it, trust me.

Look out for discount tickets online before you go. I found a great deal on some travel sites; it saved me a bit of cash!

Bring a water bottle! It's easy to get thirsty walking around and staying hydrated makes the tour even more enjoyable. I forgot mine and kinda regretted it.
Freedom Tower

I think it’s worth checking out the small exhibits they have inside, but don’t spend too much time there if you're short on time. I felt I missed out on the views from the top because I lingered too long!

I recommend going on a weekday around 10 AM. It was way less crowded then and I could really soak in the architecture without rushing. Weekend visits looked super packed!

My advice is to grab a light snack nearby before visiting. The area has some great little cafes, and trust me, exploring the tower gets your energy up. You’ll thank me later!
Whimzeyland: Bowling Ball House

Check out the nearby art installations before or after you visit the Bowling Ball House. They're super quirky and make for great photos! I wish I had allowed more time for that.
