Harry P Leu Gardens

I recommend bringing a reusable water bottle. It's easy to get dehydrated walking around the gardens, and refilling is a breeze. I wish I had taken one instead of buying water there.

If you're looking to save some cash, check out their website for any discount days. I ended up going on a Thursday and got $5 off!

Don’t skip the gift shop! I found some amazing local plant seeds and garden decor. Be aware, though, some items are pricier than what you'd find outside, but they are unique.
Mounts Botanical Garden
Look out for the free guided tours, they help you discover plants you might miss on your own. I missed one and wish I hadn't!

I recommend visiting in the morning, around 9 AM, when it's cooler and less crowded. You’ll get amazing pics without too many people photobombing!

Bring some water and snacks. There aren't many options nearby, and it can get hot! I burned a bit of time looking for a vending machine.
Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

I recommend downloading the Fairchild app before you go. It has a self-guided tour you can take, and trust me, you’ll want to skip the pricier guided tour. I found some hidden gems this way!

I suggest getting there by 9 AM when it opens... It’s way cooler, and you beat most of the crowds, plus you get to see the flowers all fresh and vibrant... Really beautiful in the morning light!
USF Botanical Gardens

I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks. There aren't many options inside and it can take longer than you think to stroll around. Plus it's nice to sit on a bench and enjoy the gardens with a little picnic!

My advice is to visit on a weekday if you can. The weekends can get super crowded, and I found it hard to take good photos with all the people around. Weekdays are definitely more peaceful!
