Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary

Bring a camera but be mindful of the rules about flash photography. I missed some great moments because I forgot to turn mine off, so double-check before snapping away!

I suggest packing snacks and water. The food options were limited and a bit pricey, so having a little picnic made my day much better!
Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

pack a small lunch or snacks. the café has limited options and can get busy, so it's nice to have your own food to enjoy on the boardwalk.
ZooTampa at Lowry Park
Take your time wandering the exhibits, but I suggest hitting the more popular ones (like the koalas and tigers) first before the crowds roll in around noon. It makes for better photos!

If you’re looking to save on food, bring your own snacks or a packed lunch. The dining options are pricey for what you get, and there are nice picnic spots in the park!

I recommend getting there right when they open around 9:30 AM. It’s way less crowded and you can see the animals more up close. Plus, you’ll have more time to explore before the heat sets in!

I noticed they have cool discounts for military and Florida residents. If that's you, don’t miss out on saving some cash by bringing proof.
McCarthy's Wildlife Sanctuary

Check the feeding schedule for the animals. I caught the tiger feeding, which was incredible! It's way more exciting to see animals during feeding time.

If you’re into photography, visit during golden hour. The light for photos is just beautiful then! I went in the middle of the day and the harsh sunlight wasn’t ideal for pics.

Bring snacks and water; even though they have a small cafe, it’s kinda pricey and limited options. I brought my own, which saved me a few bucks!
St. Augustine Alligator Farm

I recommend going early, like around 9 AM, to beat the crowds and have a better chance of seeing the alligators active and splashing around. It gets really busy later!

My advice is to grab the combo ticket with the zip line. It’s such a thrill to swoop over the alligators, and it saves you a few bucks compared to buying individually!
Big Cat Rescue

I heard a lot of people say buy your tickets online in advance. It saved me a ton of time when I skipped the ticket line and just went straight in!

Definitely bring some snacks and drinks. The prices at the café are a bit high, so I brought my own and saved some cash for souvenirs instead.
Serengeti Safari

My advice is to bring extra snacks and a refillable water bottle. Food inside is a bit pricey, and you'll want to stay hydrated while exploring!
