If you're planning to get food nearby try to hit up local joints instead of chains. I found a great taco spot just a few blocks away that was way better than fast food.

My tip is to watch for local events or competitions. I stumbled upon one when I visited and it really added to the vibe of the place, plus I met some cool locals.

I think it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the layout of the park before you go. Some areas can be a bit tricky, and I got lost trying to find the bowl section.

I suggest exploring the trails nearby for a cool view of the canyon. It’s free and you get some fantastic photo ops without having to deal with crowds.

if you're planning to watch the base jumpers, head over around 11 am when they usually start showing up. the vibes are super chill, and you can snag a good spot for pics.

Be prepared for changing weather. I got caught in a surprise rainstorm, so I recommend bringing a light poncho and some extra layers just in case. It’ll save your day!

user avatar
Charles November 16, 2024

I suggest starting your day at 8 AM when the trails are less crowded. Trust me, it makes a huge difference for a peaceful hike and better photos!

I think renting an ATV can save you time exploring more remote spots. It’s a blast, and you’ll get to see way more than just the parking lot trails!

I recommend visiting during the weekdays instead of the weekend to avoid the crowds. Trust me, it made a huge difference in enjoying the jumps and taking my time.

I think it's a good idea to arrive at least an hour before your jump time. This way, you can properly prepare, chill out, and take in the stunning scenery without rushing.

I think it's a good idea to chat with the instructors beforehand. They can give you personalized tips and might even share some cool local spots for after your jump.

user avatar
George October 26, 2024

I recommend booking your jump session in advance, especially during peak season, to avoid long wait times... The academy can get super busy, and the last-minute rush isn’t fun!

Paragliding

I suggest wearing layers, because the weather can change pretty quick up there. I was freezing at first, then got way too hot later. A small snack and water will also save you from spending at the pricey café!

David October 26, 2024

Make sure you book your paragliding flight in advance especially for weekends. I almost missed out due to the high demand. If you can try going on a weekday; it felt way less crowded and more personal

I think it's a good idea to check the event schedule ahead of time, as some days are way busier than others. I went on a Saturday, and it was packed! Also, the lines for snacks were super long. Maybe next time I'll go on a Thursday or Friday.

user avatar
James October 29, 2024

I recommend bringing your own food and drinks if possible. The prices for snacks at the track are pretty steep and kinda low quality. I spent way more than I expected, so next time I'm totally packing a cooler!

I recommend checking the weather ahead of time, especially for wind conditions, because they can make or break your snowkiting experience. Don't forget to pack extra layers, as it can get pretty chilly out there
