Dave & Buster's

I recommend checking for happy hour deals on drinks and food before you order. You might be able to snag some good discounts!

My advice is to grab the power card bundle when you arrive. It saves you some cash compared to buying credits separately

Make sure to try the VR experiences! They were super fun and different from the normal arcade games. Don’t skip them!
Barcade

I recommend going on a weekday instead of the weekend. The crowd is way lighter and you'll have much more time with the games – I always found it easier to snag my favorite arcade machines.

Don’t waste time in the bar line if you can help it. I found ordering a drink at the bar closest to the games was quicker, letting me get back to playing sooner.

Bring some cash! While they do take cards, having cash on hand for the arcade tokens speeds things up and avoids any transaction hassles.
Heckscher Playground
Bring snacks and water. There aren’t many food options right near the playground, and you’ll want a break to refuel. I learned that the hard way!

Check out the game areas; they have some really fun stuff! I almost missed the giant slide. It’s an absolute must—your kids will love it!
FunFuzion

I suggest grabbing a bite at their snack bar instead of stepping out for food. The prices were decent and saved me time, plus I could easily refuel between games!
VR World NYC

Check out the food options there too! I thought the prices were decent for NYC, and it gave me a good break between the gaming sessions. Plus, you don't want to waste time searching for food when you're in the zone

First off, I recommend booking your tickets online. It saved me a ton of time in line, and I didn't have to worry about tickets running out. Plus, look out for any promos or package deals!
Modern Pinball NYC Arcade

If you want to really enjoy your time, try to arrive around 4 PM. It was less crowded and we got to try out more games without feeling rushed.

I think you should focus on the classic pinball machines first. They were my favorite, and I feel like they offer a more authentic experience than some newer ones.

My advice is to bring cash. Some machines only take cash and it saves you the hassle of refunding whatever you load onto your game card.

I recommend going on a weekday if you can. It was pretty busy on the weekend, and we had to wait to play some of the popular machines.
Ancient Playground

I suggest visiting in the late morning, around 10 or 11 am, to avoid the biggest crowds. It was way more chill when I got there early, and the kids had more space to play.

Make sure to wear comfy shoes. There’s a lot of running around and climbing, and I wished I’d had better support for my feet, since they started hurting after a while.

Don't forget to bring snacks or a packed lunch! The food options near the playground can be pricey, and I know I could've saved a few bucks by packing my own.

I recommend checking out the shaded areas if it's a hot day. I found a nice spot that kept us cool, but I saw other families struggling in the sun without any cover.
Billy Johnson Playground

I recommend checking out the swings and climbing structures first. Those spots are super popular, and I almost missed them because I got distracted by the beautiful views around!
Chinatown Fair Family Fun Center

Grab a refillable drink cup when you first get there. I found it saved me quite a bit since you can just keep refilling it all day. I didn’t realize this until after my first soda, though!
Two-Bit's Retro Arcade

I recommend hitting up Two-Bit's on a weekday afternoon; it was way less crowded and I got to play way more games without waiting! Plus, they have some sweet deals during that time
