Multnomah Falls

Check the weather before you go! It drizzled during my visit, and I didn't bring a rain jacket. I suggest keeping a light poncho in your bag just in case.

Try to arrive around 8 AM if you can; it's way less crowded and you can snag some awesome photos without people in the background. I didn’t and regretted it!

Pack snacks and water; the café is pricey and the lines can be long. I ended up paying way too much for a small sandwich!

wear good shoes if you plan to hike the trails up to the viewpoint. the path can get rocky and muddy; i slipped a couple of times in my flip-flops.
Wahkeena Falls

I recommend arriving early around 8 AM to beat the crowds and really soak in the beauty without the hustle. You'll have the falls mostly to yourself for the best photos!

Bring a refillable water bottle. There are spots along the trails where you can refill, and it's way better than buying bottled water at the entrance.

If you have time, take the loop trail to see more than just Wahkeena Falls. It's worth it for the extra views, though wear good shoes because some parts can be slippery!

Check out the restroom situation before you start your hike. There are limited restrooms near the falls, so hit them up at the start
Salt Creek Falls

If you're planning to visit during the summer, try to get there by around 9 AM. The crowds build up quickly, and you get the best light for photos before noon. Trust me, it'll be way more enjoyable.

Pack a picnic! There are some lovely spots to sit and enjoy lunch with a view. It saves money on snacks and makes for a nice break between hiking.
I suggest wearing sturdy shoes. The trails can get a bit slippery, especially near the waterfall. I almost took a tumble, so be careful and enjoy the views!

Bring cash for the parking fee. I found out the hard way when I had to dig through my wallet for change. Just a heads up to save you some hassle!
Fairy Falls

Bring along some snacks! There's no food stalls nearby, and after hiking, you might get really hungry... I wish I had packed more for my visit

I suggest wearing sturdy shoes especially if it has rained recently—the trail can get slippery. I once slipped and had to take a little tumble haha!

If you're looking to save a few bucks, avoid the parking lot fees by parking on the side streets nearby. It's a short walk to the falls and can save you some cash.

I recommend visiting early, like around 8 am. The morning light makes for some stunning photos and you'll beat the crowds, trust me
