Rolling Thunder Skating Center
I think the snack bar prices are a bit steep, so consider grabbing a bite to eat before you arrive. I learned the hard way that a small soda and snack can cost you an arm and a leg!
Woodward Camp
I think you should bring your own gear if you can. Rentals are available, but they can run out quickly. It felt great to use my own board and gear!
I recommend booking your sessions in advance to avoid disappointment. They can fill up super fast, especially on weekends. I ended up waiting for ages!
Philadelphia Penitentiary
Bring a fully charged phone or camera! The place is super photogenic and I wished I had captured more moments but my battery died too soon.
Check the weather! I assumed it would be mild but ended up caught in a storm. Plan ahead and dress for the weather to enjoy your visit fully.
FDR Skatepark
I think it's a good idea to check out the local food trucks nearby before you skate. They’re super convenient and way cheaper than restaurants in the city. My food was delicious and kept me fueled for skating!
My advice is to hit the park around 5 PM... It gets crowded later, and you'll have more space to skate and show off your skills before all the pros show up
