The Fillmore Philadelphia

If you're planning to buy merch, do it before the show starts. The lines can get pretty long once the act starts, and you'll miss your favorite songs waiting to pay.

Get there early, like around 6 PM, so you can snag a good spot close to the stage. I didn’t, and I wish I had! The views are way better when you’re not stuck behind a bunch of tall people.
Check out the food stands inside—they're pleasantly cheap compared to what you usually find at venues. I tried some nachos, and they hit the spot without breaking the bank.

Parking can be a nightmare, so I suggest using ride-sharing apps if you can. I tried to drive and ended up walking a bit because spots were tight.
The Kimmel Center

My advice is to grab a bite at the cafes nearby, they're super affordable. I was shocked at how pricey the food was inside the center!

If you plan to catch a performance, get your tickets in advance. I waited and ended up missing out on a sold-out show that everyone raved about!

I think arriving around 30 mins before a show starts is perfect. You get a good seat selection and some time to soak in the atmosphere!
Union Transfer

My advice is to get there at least an hour early to grab a good spot. The floor can fill up fast, and you definitely don't want to miss the opening act.

I think the bar prices aren't too bad, but you might want to grab some drinks before the show to save a few bucks—water is free at the venue!

I recommend checking the schedule online first. Some shows can sell out quick, and you'd wanna grab your tickets before they vanish!

I had a great time, but the acoustics can be hit or miss depending on the band. I suggest checking if the artists are known for their live sound first.
Franklin Music Hall

I recommend arriving at least an hour early; the lines can get pretty long, especially if it’s a popular show... It gives you time to grab a drink too!

If you're going to drink, I suggest pre-gaming at a local bar. They usually have happy hours, so you save money before the show.

I think it’s best to park at a nearby garage rather than on the street. I parked on the street and ended up with a ticket! Parking is easier in a lot.
I found the acoustics really good, but I suggest avoiding the back rows if you can. The sound is way better up closer to the stage.
Theatre of The Living Arts

If you're into merch, buy it at the show. I got a t-shirt for a lower price than online, plus I wasn't hit with shipping fees. Score!

I thought parking was going to be a nightmare, but I found a lot a few blocks away that was pretty affordable. Just be ready for a short walk, but it's good exercise!

I suggest arriving around 6 PM for a concert. The lines can get super long, and it's nice to find a good spot up front or at least get settled before the show starts.
World Cafe Live Philadelphia

If you want to save money on drinks, consider going to the bar area for happy hour specials. I was surprised they had discounts before most shows—definitely made it more affordable!

Plan to arrive around 6:30 PM for an evening show. The lines get long, and you don’t want to miss the opening acts! I learned this the hard way when I nearly missed my favorite artist's first song

Grab dinner at the café before the show. The food was way better than I expected and saved me a trip elsewhere. Plus, it’s nice to chill with some good grub before the music!
Franky Bradley's

I suggest wearing comfortable shoes. The dance floor gets packed and you'll want to move around and enjoy the vibe. Don't be like me, struggling in cute but impractical shoes!

My advice is to explore the cocktail menu. They have unique drinks you won't find anywhere else! I tried a couple of specials that totally blew my mind.

If you're going on a weekend, get there around 9 PM. The line gets pretty long after that, and we ended up waiting way longer than expected
Johnny Brenda's
The Trestle Inn

I suggest arriving around 8 PM when the vibe is just starting to pick up but before it gets too crowded. This way, you can snag a good seat and enjoy the happy hour specials.
Think about purchasing a bottle instead of cocktails if you’re going with friends. It totally saves money, and you get more bang for your buck!

My advice is to check out their events calendar beforehand. They often have themed nights or live music that can really enhance the experience.

I recommend chatting with the bartenders; they’re super friendly and can give you great suggestions for drinks you might not find on the menu
The Tower Theater
I recommend checking the venue's website for the best parking options. I found street parking last time, but it was stressful and took too long to find a spot.

I suggest grabbing dinner at a nearby restaurant before the show. There are some great spots just a short walk away, and it saves you the hassle of trying to eat right before the event.

My advice is to get your tickets in advance! The line can get super long, and some shows sell out fast. Better safe than sorry, right?
