Island Adventure Watersports

Bring some snacks and drinks if you can. The food options are a little pricey and not the best quality; I wish I had packed my own!

I recommend checking the weather beforehand. We went on a cloudy day, and it turned out to be a bit chilly – not super fun for water sports!

If you're planning to rent equipment, try to go in the morning right when they open at 9 AM. You’ll have better availability and it’s usually quieter.
Cast Away Fishing Charters

I recommend booking your trip during the weekdays if possible. It’s less crowded, and you’ll have a better chance of catching more fish without the hassle of too many boats around.
Awesome ATV Rentals

I suggest booking your ATV in advance, especially on weekends. It gets super busy and you might miss out on the ride you want. Plus, online deals can save you a few bucks.
My advice is to arrive at least 30 mins early for paperwork and briefing. I almost missed my slot because I didn’t account for that. Better to be safe than sorry!
Charleston Sailing School & Yot Charters

Try to arrive around 30 minutes early so you can get situated and chat with the staff. They are super friendly and share great tips for sailing, which added to my experience!

Make sure to bring sunscreen and a hat – it can get super sunny out on the water! I forgot mine and regretted it later with a sunburn.

if you're planning to rent a yacht for the day, ask about any package deals or discounts for longer rentals. i wish i’d inquired and could have saved some cash!
Van Der Meer Academy

My advice is to avoid the afternoon classes if you can. They get super crowded around 2 PM, so aim for early mornings for more personalized attention

I think it’s smart to bring your own water and snacks. The café can get pricey, and having your own stuff helps you save some cash!
