My advice is to wear comfortable shoes. The cobblestone paths can be a bit tricky, and you'll be walking around a lot if you want to explore fully.

Check out the local artisans’ booths. I found some unique souvenirs that weren't overpriced like the stuff at some of the tourist shops. Support local talent!

Try to grab lunch at one of the food vendors inside. I had a delicious shrimp po' boy that didn't break the bank, plus it was super fresh!

I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. It was way less crowded than the weekend when I went. Easier to browse and take photos!
Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

If you’re on a budget, look out for combo tickets online. I saved a few bucks and got access to more exhibits that way!

I suggest arriving right when they open around 9 AM to beat the crowd. I got to explore the USS Yorktown almost alone, which was awesome!

Check the weather before you go! It got super hot in the afternoon when I was there so I wish I had brought a water bottle and sunscreen with me.
Fort Sumter

If you’re on a budget, bring your own snacks. The café there is pretty pricey and the options are limited.
I recommend visiting either early in the morning (around 9 AM) or later in the afternoon to dodge the crowds and get those nice photos without too many people in the background.

I suggest booking your ferry tickets online to avoid long lines and ensure your spot. We saw people get turned away because the boat was full!

Check the weather forecast before you go... It can get really hot out there, so pack sunscreen and a hat if it looks sunny
The Battery

If you're into architecture, look for the hidden art in the small details of the houses. Some of the best features are tucked away – you might miss them if you're not looking!

Consider visiting on a weekday, especially right at 9 AM. The crowd was way lighter, and I could take my time without rushing around other tourists.

Check out the local food trucks nearby. I found some tasty bites that didn't break the bank and gave me the energy to explore more!
Rainbow Row

Don't rush your visit! I spent just half an hour, but I wish I stuck around to really soak in the colors and history. At least an hour would be perfect
If you're looking to save some cash, bring your own snacks and drinks. There aren't a ton of options nearby, and it can get pricey.

Middleton Place

Check the weather beforehand... I got caught in a sudden rain shower because I didn't realize storms were forecasted... Bring an umbrella just in case!

If you can visit on a weekday. It was a lot quieter and we had more opportunities to ask questions and really enjoy the exhibits without the crowds.

I recommend taking the 10 AM guided tour. It was the perfect time to catch the cooler morning air and enjoy the gardens before it got too hot.

Bring a picnic! The grounds are beautiful, and we found a lovely shady spot by the creek. It saved us money and was a great way to recharge.
Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

I recommend parking at Waterfront Park for free; just be ready for a bit of a walk over the bridge. It's a good warm-up, plus the views along the way are so nice!

I suggest visiting in the early morning, around 7 AM, to beat the crowds and catch a stunning sunrise. It's totally worth the early wake-up call!

I think it’s cool to walk or bike across the bridge. If you can, rent a bike nearby; it saves a lot of legwork and makes the experience even more fun!
Fort Moltree

My advice is to bring some water and snacks with you. There’s limited food options around, and it saves you time and money looking for places to eat.

Don’t forget your camera! The architecture and views are stunning, but be prepared for some stairs—wear comfy shoes to make the most of your explore.

I highly recommend visiting Fort Moltree on a weekday morning around 10 AM. It was much less crowded then, and I could really soak in the history without rushing
Marion Square

Take a walk around the park after visiting especially if you're into architecture like me. The gazebo and live oaks are stunning. Just be prepared for some mosquitos in warmer months.

Check out the food trucks near the square for a quick, tasty lunch. I had a shrimp taco that was delicious! Way cheaper than nearby restaurants and super convenient

I suggest packing a small picnic to enjoy at one of the benches. We saved a ton of cash and had a perfect little lunch break while enjoying the view!

If you’re into photography, early mornings around 7-8 AM are golden hours here; fewer crowds and beautiful light! Trust me, it makes a huge difference for those Insta shots.
Poinsett Bridge

if you’re into photography, bring a good camera! the views are stunning from every angle, and you’ll want to capture all those instagram-worthy shots without rushing.

I suggest packing a picnic. There are beautiful spots nearby to chill and enjoy the scenery, plus it saves you some cash compared to nearby eateries.

I recommend visiting in the early morning or just after sunrise. The light on the bridge is magical, and you'll avoid the crowds that pour in later
