Active Leisure & Sport in Utah:
Angels Landing Trail
Pack enough water and snacks. I underestimated how thirsty I’d get and ended up regretting not bringing more. Carry at least 2 liters!
Wear good hiking shoes with grip. The last section is pretty steep and precarious. I slipped a bit with my old sneakers – not fun!
Delicate Arch Trail
Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons, like late spring or early fall. The weather is perfect, and it’s less crowded than summer.
Park City Mountain Resort
Don't be afraid to explore the lesser-known trails! I stumbled upon a couple of hidden gems that were less crowded and just as fun. Just grab a map at the lodge so you don’t get lost!
The R & K Hunting Company
I think you should bring some snacks and water. The prices at the on-site shop can be a bit steep, and having your own stuff will save you some cash.
I recommend asking the staff about local hunting regulations ahead of time. I didn’t, and it caused some confusion with permits when I arrived. Better safe than sorry.
Deer Valley Resort
Definitely try the chocolate chip cookies at the St. Regis. I heard they were good, but they were actually amazing! Just be prepared to pay a bit for them, though.
Navajo Loop and Queen's Garden Trail
Vivint Smart Home Arena
Check out the pre-game events outside the arena. There was a fun atmosphere with food trucks and live music when I went, and it made for a great start to the evening.
If you're planning on catching a game, try to get seats in the upper sections for a fantastic view of the court. I sat lower once and couldn't see all the action; the elevation makes a big difference.
Download the arena's app. It helped me navigate the venue, find my seats, and even order concessions from my seat! Super convenient.
Zion Canyon Trail Ride at Jacobs Ranch
I recommend booking your ride online in advance. It can get super busy especially on weekends and you don't want to miss out!
My advice is to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. I made the mistake of wearing shorts, and let me tell you, saddle sores are no joke!
Base Jump Moab
Bring snacks and water. There’s not much around the jumping area, and you'll want to stay energized between jumps.
The Zion Narrows Riverside Walk
I suggest using the shuttle to get to the trailhead, since parking fills up fast. You’ll save time driving around looking for a spot. Plus, it’s super eco-friendly.
