Mount Mansfield
if you're planning to hike, get a good pair of shoes! i wore sneakers and regretted it. a sturdy pair makes all the difference and you can really enjoy the trails.
Stowe Recreation Path
I think packing a picnic is a must! There are some great spots along the path to chill and enjoy your food, plus it's way cheaper than eating out!
If you're planning to bike, my advice is to bring your own, rentals can get pricey, and the trail's super bike-friendly!
Thundering Falls Trail
My advice is to pack some snacks and water. It’s a bit of a trek, and there aren’t any places to grab a bite close by, so you'll want to stay fueled.
I recommend wearing good hiking shoes, the trail can get slippery, especially near the falls. I almost slipped and fell, so it’s better to be safe than sorry!
Gifford Woods State Park
Smugglers Notch State Park
My advice is to check the weather before your visit. It can change quickly, and I got caught in a light rain without a poncho. A little planning helped a lot!
Sterling Falls Gorge
I suggest hitting up Sterling Falls Gorge in the early morning, like around 8 AM. The light is amazing for pics, and you'll beat the crowds. Trust me, it's way more peaceful without a ton of people around.
my advice is to wear good shoes. the trails can be kinda slippery, especially near the waterfalls. i nearly lost my balance a couple of times, so save yourself the trouble and be ready for some adventure!
