Point Udall
I think visiting right at sunrise is the way to go. The colors are unreal, and you’ll beat the crowds too!
My advice is to wear good shoes. The paths can be a bit rocky, and trust me, you don’t want to be slipping around.
Reef Bay Sugar Mill Ruins
Castle St. Croix
I think checking the castle's event calendar ahead of time can be a game changer. I missed a cool medieval festival because I didn’t look. Plan around events for a richer experience next time!
I recommend visiting on a weekday, ideally around 10 AM to avoid the big crowds. I went on a Saturday, and it was packed! You'll get way better pics when there's less people around.
Hebrew Congregation of St. Thomas
I recommend bringing some cash for donations. It's a beautiful place to support and some shops nearby only accept cash. It’ll save you from walking around looking for an ATM!
Christiansted Boardwalk
My advice is to check out local food stalls for lunch instead of sitting in a restaurant! I found some delicious fish tacos that were way cheaper than the sit-down spots. Always better to save a few bucks while tasting local flavors!
I suggest hitting the Boardwalk early, like around 8 AM, to enjoy the cool breeze and avoid crowds. It’s such a chill vibe before it gets really hot and busy. Plus, the views are stunning in the morning light.
Christiansted National Historic Site
Check out the Fort Christiansvaern during the early morning hours; it’s way less crowded, and you can snap some great photos. I got some fantastic shots without a bunch of people in the background!
Pirates Treasure Museum
Fort Christian
I suggest visiting early, like around 9 AM. It gets busy later, and you'll have more time to explore and take photos without too many people around
Estate Whim Sugar Mill
I suggest visiting around 10 AM to avoid the midday heat and crowd. You’ll have time to enjoy the mill without feeling rushed or melting under the sun!
