My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The boats have coolers, and why pay extra for snacks when you can bring your favorite ones along?

If you're driving parking can be a pain. I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes early to find a good spot and avoid the hassle.

I recommend booking the boat in advance, especially on weekends. I tried to walk in and ended up waiting forever. Early birds catch the best time slots!

You should def buy your tickets online in advance. The line can get pretty long, and I wasted about 30 minutes waiting, which could've been spent exploring!

Try to catch the 1:30 PM tour if you can. The tour guide was really engaging, and I overheard that the later tours can feel a bit rushed. Also, take your time in the gift shop after!

If you're planning to kayak try to arrive around 9 AM. You'll avoid the crowds and get the best selection of boats before everyone else shows up.

Hey, if you're planning to sail with kids, bring some snacks and games. It kept mine entertained while we enjoyed the views!

Daniel November 1, 2024

I suggest checking the weather the day before your trip. A little wind can make for a great sailing experience, but rain might not be as fun!

Mark October 28, 2024

I think it's worth asking the staff for local tips about hidden spots to explore during your sailing trip; they know the best places to anchor for swimming or relaxing

I suggest booking your parasailing in the morning, around 9 AM. The lake is super calm then, which makes the experience even better. My first try was in the afternoon and it was a bit bumpy.

Donald December 16, 2024

Make sure you wear a swimsuit under your clothes. I went in a t-shirt and ended up soaked after the parasailing! The sun was bright, so sunscreen is a must too

user avatar
Patricia December 12, 2024

I recommend asking for a combo package if you're planning to do more than one activity. I got a deal when I rented a jet ski and went parasailing on the same day. It saved me a good chunk of change!

bring your own snacks and drinks to save some cash; the area doesn't have many convenient options nearby. i regretted not doing this.
