Gus Works Park

I think you should definitely check the events calendar before you go. We stumbled upon a live music performance, which made our visit even more special!
If you're into photography, try to get there around sunset. The lighting is just perfect for taking stunning pictures of the city skyline!

My advice is to pack a picnic! There are great spots to sit and enjoy your meal without spending extra money on food
Kerry Park

Get there early, around 7 AM, to catch the sunrise and avoid the crowds. It’s super peaceful, and the photos you’ll get of the skyline are worth it!

Check parking options ahead of time. Finding free street parking can be tricky, so look for nearby paid lots to save time hunting around.
Golden Gardens Park

I've noticed that cell service can be spotty in some areas, so grab a park map or download one before you go. I found myself wandering a bit without knowing where to go next!

Definitely try to visit during the week if you can. Weekends can get super crowded, and it's way easier to find a good spot on the beach if you go on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Trust me, it's way more chill!
Discovery Park
Bring a packed lunch! There are some nice picnic spots, and it’ll save you money instead of buying food at the visitor center. Trust me, it’s worth it.
i suggest exploring the west point lighthouse area for some stunning views. it’s a bit of a hike but the scenery is totally worth it—you’ll get some great insta moments!

Don't forget to wear good shoes. Some paths can get rough and muddy, especially after rain. I learned that the hard way on my first visit.
Olympic Sculpcher Park

Don't rush through the park! Take your time to explore each installation—you might find hidden gems that you’d miss otherwise.

Wear comfortable shoes because you’ll be doing a bit of walking. The pathways are pretty spacious but can get uneven in places.

I recommend bringing a picnic! There are lovely spots to relax, and you can enjoy the views while saving some cash on lunch.
Volantyr Park

I recommend bringing snacks and some water. There aren’t a ton of nearby shops, and I didn’t see any food stalls inside the park. A picnic can make the visit much better.

I suggest visiting during the late afternoon, like around 4 PM. That's when the light is just perfect for pics and the park isn’t super crowded. It really made my stroll more enjoyable!
Waterfront Park
I recommend taking a stroll along the piers before noon especially Pier 55. I found some cool shops and a quiet spot to sip coffee without the rush!

You might want to bring your own snacks. The food options can be pricey around the waterfront, and I noticed plenty of people enjoying picnics on the grass.

My advice is to check the tide schedule if you want to explore the beach area. I missed out on low tide and the sand was basically non-existent!
