El Avila National Park
If you're up for a little adventure, try to explore some of the lesser-known trails. They can be a bit harder to find, but they offer a more tranquil experience and beautiful views.

I suggest wearing good hiking shoes—trust me, the trails can be uneven. Save your flip-flops for the beach!

My advice is to bring cash. Some vendors and places might not accept cards and it's handy for those little purchases or tips.

My advice is to bring plenty of water and snacks. There are spots to buy food, but they can be pricey and might run out during busy hours.
Salto Angel

Bring cash! Many places in the area don’t accept cards, and you’ll need it for tips or snacks along the way. I ended up scrambling to find an ATM!
For the best photos, go around lunchtime, like 12-2 PM. The lighting hits the falls perfectly, making for stunning shots. I took mine at a different time and they didn't come out great!

Pack light! You'll be doing a lot of walking and you don’t want to carry a heavy backpak. I took too much stuff and regretted it.

Make sure to wear good water-resistant shoes. I went in flip-flops and regretted every slippery step. Trust me you'll want something with grip!
East Park

I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks. There's not much for sale in the park, and the prices can be a bit high. It's nice to save some bucks and enjoy your own food while hanging out with the animals.

Bring a little cash for the entrance fee since some places might not accept cards. I almost missed getting in because I wasn’t prepared with the right amount.

If you want to save time, skip the animal shows if they don’t interest you. I thought they would be fun, but they ended up taking longer than expected, and I could have explored more instead!

Check out the petting zoo area if you can! It’s super cute but be aware it can get a bit crowded. I had to wait a while to get a pic with the goats!
Expanzoo
Los Caobos Park

I recommend visiting Los Caobos early in the morning, like around 8 AM, when it’s less crowded and cooler. The park’s vibe is so much more relaxing without too many people around

If you’re planning to grab a bite I suggest bringing some snacks with you. Food inside the park can be a bit pricey and not all options are great.

Check out the botanical garden, it's a hidden gem! I almost missed it, but it turned out to be my favorite part of the park. Make sure to take some photos there!
