Angel Falls

Don't just take the boat trip to the Falls; make sure to stop at the smaller waterfalls along the way. Those spots are often less crowded and just as beautiful!

Pack a good pair of walking shoes. The trek to the falls involves some hiking, and trust me, flip-flops won’t cut it. Your feet will thank you.

I recommend staying at a local posada in Canaima. It's a bit cheaper than the bigger hotels and gives you a real feel for the place, plus it's super cozy.
Mount Roraima

I recommend starting the hike around 7 AM. The early morning atmosphere is magical, plus you avoid the midday heat on your way up the mountain.

I suggest packing light but bringing extra snacks! The treks can be long and you’ll be glad for that energy boost. I wish I had brought more granola bars instead of heavy meals.
I think it's worth considering a longer stay to explore the top of Roraima. I rushed it and felt like I missed some incredible spots. 2-3 days up there is key for a full experience!
Mochima National Park
Canaima
Sierra Nevada En La Mukuy Park

Pack a picnic lunch! The food in the park can be a bit pricey and limited. I brought some sandwiches and snacks, which saved me some cash and allowed me to enjoy the view while eating.

I think you should hit the trails early, like by 8 AM. The morning mist is magical and makes for great photos. Plus, it gets crowded later in the day. Trust me, you’ll want to avoid the rush!

I recommend wearing comfortable hiking shoes. I wore regular sneakers and my feet were sore halfway through. Trust me, you’ll be grateful you chose the right footwear for those trails

My advice is to check the weather before you go. I got caught in an unexpected rain, and while it was refreshing, it was a bit of a hassle. Just be prepared with a light poncho or something!
Roraima
Pargito Beach

My advice is to bring some snacks and water. The beach cafes are a bit pricey and can get crowded. I spent way more than I thought on simple stuff. A little prep goes a long way!
El Yaque Beach

I suggest checking out the beach around 4 PM for the best wind conditions. It gets crazy good then, plus the sunset views are stunning and a perfect end to an adventurous day.
