i recommend packing your own snacks and plenty of water for the hikes. the small shop on-site is limited and prices can be a bit steep! trust me, having your own provisions makes a huge difference.

I suggest bringing a good pair of binoculars for birdwatching; I saw some amazing species. Just don’t forget your camera because the sunsets over Lake Tanganyika are stunning.

My advice is to pack a cooler with drinks and snacks for your game drives—there's nothing like a cold drink while watching lions at dusk. I wish I had thought of this before!

I suggest you book your safari drives with local guides rather than through bigger companies. It can save you a ton of cash and you often get a more personal experience. Plus, some guides know all the good spots for animals!
