You should definetly try and go in the early morning around 8 AM. It's way less crowded and you can snap great photos without a bunch of people in the background!

Don’t forget to explore the surrounding areas too, like Anping Tree House. It’s right next to the fort and well worth the visit!

My advice is to bring some snacks and water. It's a bit of a walk around the fort, and there aren't many places to grab a bite nearby.
