Check the weather beforehand! I went on a cloudy day and the views were blocked. A sunny day would have made the experience so much better.
Make sure you wear comfy shoes! The castle has a lot of stairs and walking around the grounds can take some time. I regretted my choice of footwear!
Don't miss out on the view from the top of the castle! It’s totally worth the climb, but do bring a bottle of water – I didn't and I felt pretty dehydrated going up all those stairs.
