I suggest checking the weather beforehand. I had to reschedule my flight because of unexpected clouds, and that was a hassle. A clear day is a must for the best views
I think booking your flight in advance can save you some cash. I found that prices went up closer to the date I wanted to go, which was a bummer.
Make sure to dress in layers! The temperature can fluctuate quite a bit up there; I ended up freezing in my short sleeves. Not fun!
