If you can, visit on a weekday morning around 10 AM. It was much quieter then and I got great shots of the stained glass without crowds in the way. Trust me, it's worth it!
Don't skip the crypt area! I almost did because I thought it would be uninteresting. It has some cool historical artifacts and gives you a different vibe of the Cathedral.
I suggest bringing a light jacket or sweater, as it can get a bit chilly inside the Cathedral, especially if you visit in the colder months. I wasn't prepared and regretted it!
