I think visiting during the week is way less crowded than the weekends, so you can really enjoy the nature and get some good photos. I did that and had the place almost to myself!
If you're into wildlife dusk is the best time to see animals. I suggest being on the lookout around 6 PM; that's when I saw the most action. Bring some binoculars for a closer look.
I recommend bringing some sturdy walking shoes. The trails can be a bit muddy, and I slipped a few times with my regular sneakers. Good shoes make a huge difference!
