Bring your own surfboard if you can. Renting locally can be pricey. I ended up saving a chunk of cash and had a lot more fun on my own gear!

Stop by the local IGA for snacks and drinks before hitting the beach. It’s way cheaper than the beachfront shops, and you’ll have more to enjoy while lounging in the sun!

If you want to avoid crowds, steer clear of the beach on weekends. I went on a Tuesday and had the whole place to myself; it was just perfect.
