My advice is to visit on a Wednesday morning if you can. That way, you might catch a glimpse of the MEPs in action, which added a bit of excitement to my visit! Plus, it wasn’t too crowded

I recommend booking your tour in advance online; I saved a ton of time skipping the long ticket lines! Also, there’s a cool audio guide you can download that made my visit so much more interesting.
