I suggest booking your rental in advance online; I ended up waiting forever to get my gear when I could've just skipped the line. Plus, you'll probably snag a better price that way too!
I recommend going for a mid-morning session around 10 AM instead of the afternoon. The waves were way less crowded and I had way more fun!
