I suggest trying the local street food instead of high-end restaurants. I had the best Pad Thai from a stall near the beach for just 50 baht!
Watch out for the sun! Bring a good sunscreen. I didn't, and I ended up looking like a lobster after just one afternoon. Ouch!
If you want to enjoy a quiet swim, try to go after 4 PM when most tourists leave. The sunset views are stunning too, and it's so much more peaceful.
