I think an audio guide is worth it if you're into history. I skipped it and later regretted missing the detailed stories behind the art and architecture!

If you want to save some dough avoid the little shops nearby – they're overpriced! There are better cafes a few blocks away that offer great Italian coffee and snacks.

Bring a water bottle! There are fountains outside where you can refill, but once you're in, it's a bit of a trek to get to a shop or cafe. My advice is to stay hydrated!
