If you're planning on taking photos, bring a good camera. The lighting in the gallery is stunning, and a phone camera just won't do it justice. I regret not bringing my DSLR for those perfect shots!
I suggest grabbing lunch at a nearby café instead of the palace eateries. They can be overpriced and crowded, but there's some great, affordable local food just a short walk away.
definitely get there around 9 am when it opens. the crowds get crazy later, and you want to enjoy the space without feeling rushed. i wish i had timed it better!
