Suggest taking your time at the summit and enjoying the view. I rushed it and missed some great photo ops – take a breather and soak it all in.
I think hiring a local guide is a must, but haggle a bit! I felt like I overpaid for mine, so don't be afraid to negotiate – it can save you some cash!
If you can, try to start your trek no later than 6 AM. The early morning fog is stunning and the weather is cooler – my mistake was starting around 8 AM and sweating like crazy!
