If you're into birdwatching, try to get there right around sunrise. I saw some amazing species and the early morning light made for great photos. Plus, it's cooler and less crowded!
Bring your snorkeling gear! The coral reefs near Saona Island are stunning, and I wish I had my own stuff instead of renting. It saves money and you can enjoy it at your own pace.
Bring cash for the local vendors. A lot of places in the park don’t accept cards, so I got stuck without enough cash for snacks and drinks. Better safe than sorry!
