My advice is to explore the nearby mangroves; it's a hidden gem for bird watching! I stumbled upon it by accident, and it was way more peaceful than the crowded beach.
I recommend trying the local seafood especially the ceviche at the beachside shacks. It’s fresh and way cheaper than what you’d find in touristy restaurants. Totally worth it!
If you’re into snorkeling, bring your own gear or rent it from a local shop instead of booking a tour. I found a spot near the rocks with amazing views of fish without spending much!
