My advice is to visit around 4 PM if you can. The sunset is beautiful and way less crowded. Plus, you might even catch some locals setting up for evening fun.
I suggest bringing some snacks and drinks because the beach can get pretty low on options. A cooler with some sandwiches really saved me from having to leave
