I recommend bringing a light jacket. The cave gets surprisingly cool once you’re inside, and you’ll thank yourself later for being comfortable while exploring.
I think it's worth it to hire a local guide instead of just the park rangers. They offered us so much interesting info and tips that made the whole experience way better than just a standard tour.
