I suggest wearing long pants and boots! You might think it’s not necessary, but comfort is key. I wore shorts and ended up with some annoying saddle rubs
I think it’s a great idea to ask the staff about the horses. They’re super knowledgeable and you can find out which horse would be the best fit for you. That made my ride way more fun.
I recommend checking the weather before you go. If it’s too hot, the rides can be pretty tough and uncomfortable. I went on a sunny day and wished I'd brought more water.
