I think it's best to avoid the weekend if you can. It gets super crowded, and you might end up waiting longer than expected. I went on a weekday and it was way more chill.
Arrive around 15 minutes early to get a good spot at the front of the boat! I didn't realize how much fun the view would be, and it makes a difference
I recommend booking your tickets online in advance. I saved some cash that way, plus you skip the queue, which is a huge time-saver, especially on weekends.
