My advice is to visit The Paquier in the morning around 9 AM. It was way less crowded and you can enjoy the peaceful beauty of the lake and the mountains before the hustle sets in.
I recommend wearing comfy shoes. The paths are nice for walking, but I made the mistake of wearing sandals, and my feet were sore after! You’ll want to wander around without any discomfort.
