I recommend wearing good hiking shoes and bringing a light jacket even if it's warm. The trails can get slippery and it can cool down in the higher elevations after noon.

My advice is to bring a packed lunch and plenty of water. There aren't many food options around, and it's way more fun to take a break in nature than hunt for a café

I suggest starting your day at Toro Negro as early as 8 AM to avoid crowds and enjoy the serene beauty of the forest. Plus, the morning light makes for great photos!
