grab some snacks and drinks before you go. the cafes can be a bit pricey, and a little picnic by the river can make for a nice break and save some cash.
Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. The paths can get a bit uneven, and there’s a lot of walking to truly enjoy the scenery and explore the area
I suggest getting to Zaanse Schans by 9 AM. It's way less crowded, and you’ll have a better chance to take those perfect photos without a bunch of tourists in the background.
