Montmorency Falls
Fields of Abraham
My advice is to wear comfy shoes and be prepared for some walking. The park is bigger than it looks, and I regret wearing my new kicks—blisters galore!
Aquarium of Quebec
If you’re tight on time, skip the indoor exhibits first and head straight to the outdoor ones. They are way more impressive and are less crowded early in the day, around 10 AM.
If you can, use public transport to get there. Parking is a pain and expensive. The bus service is great and saves you from the hassle of finding a spot.
I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The food options can get pricey and the quality isn't the best. You'll enjoy your day more without breaking the bank on lunch.
Definitely check out the feeding sessions! I thought they were just for kids but I ended up loving them. It’s a great way to see the animals up close and the staff is super informative.
The Battlefields Park
Definitely bring a picnic! The park has some beautiful spots to chill and enjoy a meal without spending cash at nearby cafes. I regret not bringing snacks, 'cause the food options seemed a bit pricey.
i suggest visiting in the morning around 9 am. it wasn't crowded at all and i could take my time exploring without getting jostled. afternoons got really busy!
I think you should wear comfy shoes! The park is way bigger than I expected and my feet were killing me by the end. I definetly will wear some good sneakers next time!
Observatoire de la Capitale
La Promenade Samuel-De Champlain
If you can, try to visit on a weekday instead of the weekend. The park was way less crowded when I went on a Tuesday, and I got to enjoy the scenery without the rush.
Check the weather before you go. I got caught in a drizzle and most of the trails were slippery. Bring a light raincoat or umbrella just in case – the views are worth it!
Quebec's Government House
Pro tip: bring a light snack! The nearby cafes can be a bit pricey, and you don’t want to waste time searching for food when you could be exploring
I recommend taking your time in the gardens; they’re beautiful! But I think next time I’d bring a picnic blanket to enjoy the vibe even more.
Jean d'Arc Garden
Montmorency Park National Historic Site
I suggest wearing comfy shoes since you’ll do quite a bit of walking. Some paths can be tricky, and you definitely want to feel good while exploring the stunning scenery
Place d'Armes
I recommend grabbing a coffee from one of the nearby cafes before heading over, it really makes the experience more enjoyable as you chill in the park. Plus, it saves you from the overpriced snacks inside!
