El Laucho Beach

Bring cash... A lot of local food stalls and shops only accept cash... I got caught out, and it limited my options for some tasty local bites

Take a walk along the coast to find quieter spots. I discovered some beautiful areas away from the main crowds. Perfect for a chill afternoon or a quieter swim.

If you're planning to rent a surfboard, I suggest doing it early in the day. The rental shops get super busy by mid-morning, and you might find yourself waiting around

Pack a light jacket for the evening. The temperature drops quickly, and I was caught shivering after sunset without one. It's a simple fix that makes a big difference!
Chinchorro Beach

My advice is to bring some cash if you plan to buy snacks or drinks. A lot of stalls and little shops only take cash, and ATMs can be a bit of a hike from the beach.

I recommend checking the tide schedules before you go. When I visited, the tide was too high for swimming in the afternoon, which was a bummer!

I suggest getting to Chinchorro Beach by around 10 a.m. to snag a good spot, because it gets busier later, especially on weekends. Bring your own umbrella to save on renting one!
La Lisera Beach

I recommend visiting La Lisera Beach on a weekday. It gets really crowded on weekends, and it’s way more enjoyable with less people around. Plus, you can grab a good spot!

I suggest bringing an umbrella if you plan to chill on the beach. There’s not much shade and it can get super sunny. Trust me I burned way too fast!

I think you should explore the surrounding area if you have time. Check out the cliffs nearby for some stunning views. Just be careful near the edge; the scenery is amazing but safety comes first!

Make sure to wear flip-flops or water shoes. The sand can be hot and there are some rocky areas that can hurt your feet. I soaked my feet in the ocean a bit too long that day!
Brava Beach

If you can, visit Brava Beach around 5 PM. The sunset is absolutely stunning, and it's way less crowded compared to the midday rush.

I suggest checking the tide times before you go. During high tide, some parts of the beach get a bit narrow, but during low tide, there's plenty of space to lay out and enjoy.
Arica Beach

My advice is to hit the beach around 4 PM for the best waves and fewer crowds... You'll have more space to enjoy the sunset too, which is just stunning!
Corazones Beach

I recommend visiting Corazones Beach in the morning around 9 AM for quieter vibes and better beach space... After 11 AM, it gets pretty crowded with locals coming in for the day

I suggest bringing a beach umbrella or renting one. The sun can be really intense, and finding shade during peak hours (noon to 3 PM) is a game-changer!
Las Machas Beach

If you're planning to swim, visit around 3 PM. The sun is still shining beautifully but the crowds thin out, plus the water is at its warmest then!

I recommend bringing your own snacks and water to save some cash. The beachside stalls can be a bit pricey for basic stuff, and the local tiendas have great options just a short walk away.

I think it’s a good idea to wear some water shoes if you'll be exploring the rocky areas. I didn’t and ended up with sore feet – not fun when you just wanna relax!
