Torres del Paine National Park
Pack lunch and snacks instead of relying on park services. Food inside the park is pricey, and having your own keeps you fueled on the go without breaking the bank.
start your hikes early, around 7 am. the trails are less crowded, and you can enjoy the sunrise over the mountains—totally breathtaking! i wish i’d gotten moving sooner.
Take time to explore the visitor center first. It has awesome maps, info on trails, and lot of tips from rangers. I skipped this and missed some cool hidden spots.
Mirador Cerro Dorotea
I recommend starting your hike around 7 AM to avoid the crowds and really soak in the peaceful vibes. The early morning light is also magical for photos!
Pack some snacks and plenty of water because the cafe at the base closes early and you definitely don't want to be stuck without refreshments halfway up!
Refugio Los Cuernos
Camping Frances
I suggest booking your spot in advance, especially during peak season; it gets really crowded and you don't want to miss out! Also, make sure to get there around 5 PM to snag the best views of the Torres del Paine at sunset.
I think bringing your own food will save you some cash, as the local shops can be pricey. Pack snacks and meals ahead, so you can enjoy some tasty picnics by the fire rather than spending too much at the store!
