If you're planning to check out the horse museum, do it early in the morning. It gets really busy and the best exhibits are lost in the crowd later on.

I recommend wearing comfortable shoes. Some of the paths around the gardens are uneven, and you don't want sore feet when you're trying to explore!

I think visiting on a weekday is the best move. We went on a Thursday and it was way less crowded, which made exploring so much nicer.

My advice is to grab the audio guide at the entrance. It's really worth the few extra euros and helps you appreciate the history of the castle so much more.
