Place de la Comedie
When you visit, don't forget to look up at the architecture details – they're stunning! I regret not doing a bit of research beforehand to appreciate the history more
If you can, try to visit around 8 am. The square is so calm and peaceful then with beautiful morning light – great for photos without the crowds!
My advice is to wear comfy shoes, especially if you plan to stroll around. The cobblestones are charming but can be tough on your feet after a while.
The Porte du Peyrou
Promenade du Peyrou
Check the weather before you go! It gets sunny, and you definitely want to bring a hat or sunscreen to avoid getting burnt. I forgot mine and ended up finding shade a lot!
Take some time to explore the surrounding gardens and pathways; they're just as beautiful as the promenade itself! I found some hidden spots perfect for photos.
Museum Fabre
If you're really keen on seeing everything, get the audio guide. I found it super helpful in understanding the context behind some of the pieces, plus it makes your visit feel more personal!
If you're into art, I highly recommend taking the time to check out their temporary exhibitions. They often feature local artists or unique themes that you won't want to miss!
Cathedrale St. Pierre
I suggest visiting the Cathedral in the late afternoon, around 5 PM. The lighting is just perfect for photos and it’s less crowded, so you can take your time and really soak in the details.
Check out the little shops nearby for some local treats once you’re done inside... I found some awesome souvenirs! Prices are way better than in the main tourist areas
When I went, I didn’t realize that entry is free, which is amazing. My advice is to take a moment to appreciate the stunning interior without feeling rushed.
Be sure to look up at the ceiling! I almost missed it while admiring the walls. The architecture is really breathtaking and deserves a good look. I think it’s one of the highlights of the cathedral.
Saint-Clement Aqueduct
I think exploring the surrounding area is key! Check out the nearby parks and little trails for a full day of adventure without the hassle of crwods.
My advice is to bring a snack or picnic. There are lovely spots nearby to chill and enjoy the view without spending loads on overpriced cafes.
Popular Pavilion
I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can, especially right when they open around 10 AM. You'll beat the crowds and have more time to explore without feeling rushed. Trust me, it makes a big difference!
Fountain of the Three Graces
I suggest visiting the fountain in the early morning around 8 AM to enjoy the quiet atmosphere and take some great photos without the crowds. It gets pretty busy later on!
Place Edouard Adam
I recommend stopping by early in the morning around 9 AM. The light is gorgeous for photos, and you'll avoid most of the crowds. Plus, you can enjoy a peaceful moment before it gets busy!
Flaugergues Castle
I suggest visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowds; we went on a Saturday and it was packed. The gardens are beautiful and definitely worth taking your time in, but it felt rushed with so many people around
