My advice is to wear comfortable shoes! The site is large and you'll do a lot of walking, especially if you want to explore the surrounding area, too.

Do take your time to read the inscriptions and enjoy the views of Tbilisi from up there. I rushed through my visit, and I really missed some amazing details.

I think you should check the weather beforehand. It can change quickly in Tbilisi, and being prepared with sunscreen or an umbrella can save you from a wet surprise.
