Brandenburg Gate

I recommend bringing a power bank for your phone. You'll want to take tons of photos, and trust me, you'll run out of battery faster than you think.

Consider grabbing a snack at one of the food trucks nearby. I found a great currywurst stand, and it was way cheaper than eating at a sit-down restaurant

If it rains, don’t fret! The arches of the gate offer some shelter, and it gives the place a moody vibe perfect for pics. Just watch out for slippery ground!

I suggest visiting the Brandenburg Gate early in the morning, around 7 AM. You'll have the place nearly to yourself for some awesome pics without the crowds.
Memorial of the Berlin Wall

I recommend checking out the visitor center's exhibitions first. It gives you a fantastic overview and makes the outdoor sections more meaningful when you go back out to explore.

If you're traveling on a budget, pack a snack. The nearby cafes can be pricey, and you might want to spend more time exploring than running around looking for food.

If you happen to visit on a Sunday, keep in mind that it’s less crowded but some nearby attractions might be closed, so plan accordingly.

I suggest visiting in the late afternoon, around 4 PM. The light is beautiful for photos, and fewer tourists are around, so you can really soak in the atmosphere.
Topography of Terror
East Side Gallery

I suggest visiting around 9 AM. It’s way less crowded then, and you can really take your time to soak in the art and snap great photos without tons of people in the background.

If you want a unique perspective, I recommend walking along the river near the gallery. You’ll find some hidden gems to take photos of without the crowd!

Don’t forget to bring a good camera. The artwork is super colorful and photogenic. I regret not having my DSLR with me for some epic shots!

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! Exploring the whole length of the gallery on foot can be tiring, especially if you want to stop and admire all the details.
Pergamon Museum
Museum GDR

Check out the café inside the museum – their coffee and snacks are surprisingly good! Plus, it’s a nice break from all the walking around. I was glad I stopped there.

I suggest wearing comfortable shoes, because you might be on your feet for longer than you expect. The exhibitions are really engaging and you might lose track of time!

Don't miss the audio guides; they totally bring the exhibits to life! I thought the extra few euros were totally worth it. Just grab them at the entrance.

I think the museum is bigger than it looks, so plan for at least 2-3 hours if you want to see everything properly. I went in thinking I'd be done in an hour and ended up rushing through the last bits!
German Technical Museum

Don't miss the interactive exhibits! They were a blast and gave me a hands-on way to learn about tech history. Make sure you budget some time for these!

I recommend getting there right when it opens at 10 AM on weekdays. It gets super busy later, and you'll enjoy more of the exhibits without the crowd!

check the schedule for workshops or special events – they can be a great add-on to your visit. i stumbled upon a cool one and it was totally worth it!

My advice is to take the tram or subway instead of driving. Parking can be super tricky around the museum area, and public transport is really convenient.
Charlottenburg Castle
Palace of San Susi

Bring a good pair of walking shoes! The gardens are beautiful but can be a bit uneven and you'll want to stroll around comfortably.

You should totally grab a coffee at the nearby café before heading in. It was super cozy and had great views before starting the tour!

i suggest checking out the smaller exhibits first. they were surprisingly interesting and a nice way to ease into the bigger rooms without feeling overwhelmed.

Try to catch the changing of the guard if you can. It’s a unique experience and a great photo op, plus it adds to the overall atmosphere of the place!
