Berlin Zoo

Don’t skip the petting zoo area—it's often overlooked but so much fun, especially if you're with kids.

Try to visit on a weekday early morning around 9 AM to avoid the crowds. The animals are also more active, and you can have a better experience taking photos.

Pack a light lunch or snacks! The food inside can be pricey and not that great. Find a nice spot for a picnic instead.

Check for the feeding times of the animals you want to see; some are only during certain hours and they're fun to catch!
Berlin Botanical Garden

If you’re into photography, the golden hour right before closing time is perfect for that soft, magical light! I regret not bringing my camera out then.

Check out the tropical houses first! They’re amazing and busy later in the day. I thought they’d be crowded, but they were super chill in the morning

Consider getting a combo ticket with the Museum of Natural History if you plan to visit both. It’s a great deal and saves you some cash.

Bring a picnic! There are lovely spots to relax amongst the flowers, and the food in the cafe was okay but a bit pricey.
