If you're planning to hike, I suggest getting some sturdy shoes. I wore flip-flops and regretted it halfway up! A good pair of hikers will make the trip much more enjoyable.

I highly recommend visiting Nachal Yarmut early in the morning, around 8 AM. The weather is cooler, and you can take some great pictures before the crowds show up.
